Fernhill Dinners are an ongoing experiment in Social Dining. About once a month The Dinner Lady hosts and cooks a five course dinner in her own kitchen and serves up to 12 guests at an antique mahogany dining table. Guests can anticipate an array of experimental dishes, most have never been cooked before.
The aim is to provide a place for people to meet and connect in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Dinner Lady is happy to host small functions of up to 12 guests. She has catered for birthday parties, family get togethers and friends who want a unique dining experience.
An off the grid summer house is available for those who don’t want to drive home afterwards, a romantic retreat set in a woodland garden. Just be prepared to be woken by pukeko and bellbirds.

Bring drinks to to share, you can ask The Dinner Lady for suggestions beforehand although the full menu won’t be available until you arrive as it evolves with seasonal and foraged produce.
We are available to host and cater for celebrations at Fernhill.

- Booking are taken online or by email
- Bookings must be made three days before the dinner, i.e. for a Saturday dinner please book by Wednesday
